Fun Multi Cultural Festival

Red Earth Festival is a cultural festival that joins Native Americans together. More than 1200 American Indian Artist from all throughout North America gather together to celebrate the richness of their heritage and culture. Red Earth day is a three day event in Oklahoma focusing on art and culture of America.

For many years Red Earth Festival has played a very significant role in visual and performing arts. It has been the greatest inspiration for the great Indian artists of today. It has set the standards of todays Indian Artists. Here, patrons are given their chance to sample some of the nations well known artists. Opportunities to purchase contemporary samples of beadworks, basketry and many other hand and custom made items are also present here in Red Earth Festival.

There are many open competition offered in the event, but the most popular on is the dance competition.Dance competition at the Red Earth day is a one of a kind competition; here Natives and tribes from North and South America can be seen together as one. Participants of the dance competition represent the elite of Native American dance, some of the finest accomplishment in the world.

Grand parade with street dancing open the event. The streets of Oklahoma will be filled with Native American spirit and cheers. Representatives from every where dress up in full regalia. Making Red Earth the most unique and creative fest. Red Earth also hosts a diverse and schedule of traveling exhibitions.

Red Earth art market opens in the morning. Dance competition is held in the afternoon. Red Earth also has other activities to offer. Locals can join the 5k run and the 2 mile fun walk. The run and fun walk is open to runners and walkers all ages. Aside from run and walk, red earth opens doors to new artists, here the hold some painting contests. Also the event offers ethnic foods. Red Earth is a combination of fun and learning booths provide hand on activities to everyone.
