With great desserts, most like chocolate, vanilla or a combination of both. I love chocolate and vanilla, but I like lemon bars the best and I'll tell you why! Lemon bars offer something different that chocolate and vanilla don't. I enjoy my desserts fruity and buttery and I could easily polish off a whole bunch of lemon bars all at once.

Although, I enjoy store bought lemon bars and the lemon bars you can find in a coffee house, I'd rather make them myself. They are simple to make and delicious. Just follow these easy steps and you'll be enjoying lemon bars in no time.

Step 1 - Purchase all the ingredients needed for your lemon bar recipe. You probably have most of the ingredients at home, but if not, it's a quick trip to the store.

If you reduce the amount of butter and sugar, it'll make these lemon bars a little healthier and still delicious.
